Gee Wizz

At last the video man rang and I picked up the repaired machine yesterday.

The pool man said he would come and change the sand...he did not come.

My son said he would come and connect the video for me...he did not come.

Haven't heard from the electrican nor the plumber.

Last week of TAFE before the holidays. Getting those last few assignments tidied up.

Am going to enjoy all the TV shows that my daughter ane I have been taping during the term that I have not been able to see.

Have no plans to go away this year. Will just have the kids and grandkids over to give out Easter eggs. If the weather permits we may have a bar-be-que.

Pool Man

Pool Man came again today but though it is much better it still has a pearly like quality. Not like the crystal blue water in the store display model. He thinks that perhaps it might need new sand. (I suggested that a week ago.)

Of course no word from the video man, plumber or electrician!

Busy finishing off work for TAFE before the holidays start. This week have really got into the 'character' of my novel. But still have no idea for an illustrated children's story. Also my daughter has the notes I made on my non fiction project (which is my life story (till 12) with family history that my parents told me in those years) but now can't find them, there was 13 pages she was going to type up for me! Am not happy!! Those are the three subjects I have this semester. Holidays in two weeks!! Happy Days!

Repairmen/ Graduation/ Children/Shopkeeper

Still no electrian or plumber and the video man hasn't rung either. So what is new?

Graduated from my writing and editing course, on March the 8th,2007. The award ceremony seemed quicker than last year and I had my diploma half an hour after it started. Which turned out to be a good thing as I became sick and had to leave early. My daughter Margaret had spained her left ankle playing netball and hadn't even arrived by the time I left.

Saw the Doctor Friday and he things it was just something I ate.

Had a quiet weekend over Labour Day. My graddaughter Kirsten came to stay with Poppy Cliff and myself. When she left she took four of poppy Cliff's collectable mint condition coins with her. As she is nearly nine I never thought I would have to say "Don't take things that don't belong to you." Unfortunately her mother can only find three of them, but she says she didn't spend the missing coin. Let's hope so as they are worth $35 each.

As soon as Cliff found the empty packets my heart sank. My son Donald did something similiar to me when he was seven. He took $15 worth of the 'round' fifty cent pieces, that were worth about $1 each, to the shop and spent them. When he told me where he went, I went to the shopkeeper and tried to get the coins back with notes. The shopkeeper said he never served my son and the child must have been mistaken. There was no way to prove the man was lying, he knew the coins were worth more than their face value and he wasn't going to give them back. Needless to say I never shoped there again and I made sure to tell everyone in the neighbourhood how dishonest the man was. Eventually he went out of business, as they say cheats never prosper.

Unreliable service men.

Well as usual I could not log in for the last three days. Why is it so hard for me when most other users say this is easy peasy?

The pool man has finally come and by the time the pool is clean it will be April and almost winter. I will have to invest in a pool cover so it will be ready for summer 2008.

Of course the plumber has let me down once more. It has been nearly two years of his promising to come and attach my tank to the sewerage system.

Then there is the electrician. My power supply to the house is in danger of being cut off as the mounting for the housing attachment is falling off the house. I rang the elecricity supplier and of course because it is the attachment to the house it's not their problem. So a month ago I rang the elcetrician who has come around and said it is a small job and he'll fit it in between his big jobs. Nothing so far.

The video recorder has been in for a head cleaning. The man said a week and it is now two weeks. What is it with these guys do they have so much work that they can afford to piss off their customers?

The only person who has not let me down is the computer repair person and that's a woman!
