Jack Russells

I don't know if I have said this before but Cliff has three
Jack Russell dogs. Ariel which official belongs to Ross.
She is about five years old. Two years ago she had her first
litter, which consisted of Sophia, who is almost the same
size and colouring as her mother. I tell them apart from
the fact that Sophie has three circles of brown on her rump
and Ariel only has one. The runt of the litter was Jess.
She is black and white and I wanted to call her Collingwood.
But for some reason (maybe because both Cliff and Ross are
Carlton supporters this was ruled out.) Yet I don't see
why it is always Ross who gets to name the dogs!

Ross has encouraged them to not only sleep on his bed but
to actually crawl INTO the bed and sleep next to him.

When he gets up and goes to work at 6 a.m. the dogs are then
lonely and crawl into Cliff's bed with us. I try to fetch
them OUT of the bed and toss them at the foot of the bed.
If I had my way there would be NO dogs in the house AT ALL!
I believe in animals STAYING outside.

Well about the 16th of this month.

Kirsten's Melbourne Trip Revisited.

Kirsten rang me on Wednesday 16th Oct to say she was having
a wonderful time in Melbourne. (I was not a big enough person,
I enjoyed saying 'I told you so.')

She also asked me to send her some more money as she was down
to her last $30. She went to the Melbourne Zoo and said there
was a stuffed tiger, with large eyes. It looked at her and
said 'Buy Me!' So she did.

So I sent her $100 and told her it had to last till Friday.

There would be NO more!

She also said that she rang 'Mummy' and told her what a great
time she was having and even sent her a photo of the Eureka
Tower Deck, where they were on Wednesday night.

Happy Birthday!

Audrey (Cliff's mum) is 84 years young today. That meant it was
just before her 23rd birthday when she had Cliff. In fact for
a country girl at the time that was OLD to have a first child
most country girls were married by twenty and had two kids by
twenty three.

Cliff did ring Aud for her birthday, during a lull at the shop.
As Lena and I were there we also got to say happy birthday. I
asked her if she was 84 years young and she said 84 but these
days not feeling all that young.

Kath did not get to say hello as she had gone to the dentist with
Kirsten. I asked Kirsten did she want me to go and she said no
as she had mummy and her teddy bear. It turned out it was NOT a
teddy bear but a tiger. It was the one she had bought on the
school trip at the zoo, for $30.

Of course as Ross is up there visiting her he did not ring!

Kirsten's Melbourne Trip.

Kirsten went to Melbourne on Monday 14th October. Later
that night her mother received a phone call from one of
the teacher's saying :Kirsten had been 'crying' all day
and wanted to go home so they were bringing her back and
she would be at the Morwell station at about 8:30 p.m.

I rang Kirsten and told her to stop acting like a 2 year
old having temper tantrum, and to stay in Melbourne. I
said if she came home her mother was going to pack her
bags and she would be sent back to live at my house.
She just replied "She didn't care."

Meg spoke to her about lunch time when Kirsten rang her
to say she wanted to come home and could Meg come and
get her. Meg told her "To stop acting like a 2 year
old having a temper tantrum and grow up, and she would
not be coming to get her as she was at a conference in
Melbourne till Wednesday. She was coming back later
that day and then Mick and her were leaving for Sydney
on Thursday morning to see some Car Rally.

Her mother also told her to stay in Melbourne and not
be a 2 year old having a temper tantrum just because
she could not get her own way.

Noting seemed to make a dent. The teacher bought her
back and despite the fact I said no one was coming to
pick her up, Kath relented and did pick her up.

However Kath said it gave her an opportunity to speak
to her on the way home.

What ever Kath said to her must have worked as Kirsten
said she would go back next morning on the 8.30 a.m.
train. She did!!!

Missed Appointment

For the second time ever, and the second time this year
I missed a Dr's appointment. I went to the chemist and
he said the script I have for my atorvastatin tablets
was low. I said that was OK as I had a Dr's appointment
... I then realized it had been at 10 a.m. that morning!

School Holidays

Kirsten came to stay with me in the first week of the
holidays as Kath had the other kids despite her 'little
turn.'

The hairdresser did another treatment for the nits on
Tuesday and Kirsten finally went in to the hairdressers,
on Friday 4th October, to have the two tone colouring
done to her hair. She and Kath thought it was great.
I did not think it was.

Kath and I both went with her, me to pay and she wanted
Kath for morale support. It turns out this was actually
her first time at the hairdressers ever.

Her mum has always cut and coloured her hair!

Brickbats to Safeway and Target

On Wednesday 2nd October, 2013, I went into Safeway to
buy one of the albums to put theanimal cards in, which
Sam is collecting. It turns out Safeway has sold out
nation wide.

One of the guys from cards said he is in the know and
most of them were withdrawn because there was a swear
word in them and there were a number of complaints.

The girl in the Morwell shop said opportuntists bought
out all the books and were putting them on ebay for $50
each. What a rip off when they were $5 each or two for
$8.

Again I went into Target to get the notepad and
aseccesies only to fine the assessories had still not
come in, but thankfully the notepads had. So I got one
for Kirsten and myself.

This meant the notepad I had was finally given to Cliff
as it was his from his birthday last year.

Colli's Hairdresser

I finally used the voucher at Colli's hairdresser which
Meg gave me for my birthday. I wanted to have a dye job
so I would look good for Cliff's birthday at the Club.
However though Kirsten and Kath thought it looked good
I thought it looked brassy! The cut appears a little
uneven to me, the hairdresser did it really quickly
just a snip, snip here and there. I like the length.

I went on Wednesday 25th Sep. as I wanted to have lunch
with Janette afterwards. But when I rang her on her home
phone it was disconnected.

After the hairdresser which did take about three hours,
I went to Janette's.

I had Kirsten for a couple of days as it was her holidays.
So she was with me. I gave her a choice, she could come
with me or stay with Cliff. She said she'd come with me.

She was on her phone most of the time but even so after
that length of time she was getting a little impatient.

She wanted the hairdresser to do her hair in a two tone.
She had a picture. I did not like it. But it is up to
her and it is a mistake that she will have to live with
it, and sometimes the only way to get through to her is
to let her go for it.

He could not do it then as she had NITS again. He gave
her a treatment. He said if she came back on Tuesday
he would treat it again. Then he would do the dye job
on Friday.

Janette's was not home. I thought she could be overseas
on holiday so I left a note for her to ring me.

We then went to Kath's. Kath gave me the Coles/Myer
card which had $157.35 on it and she wanted me to buy
Kirsten a Thomson tablet as she needs one for next
year and they were on special for $169. Kirsten also
wanted the matching keyboard for $25.

So next we went to Target but the only colours they
received was blue and pink. No black or white and
they got no 10 inch accessories. The girl said to
come in next Wednesday, as they expected more to
come in next Tuesday.

So it was a busy if not exactly a productive day.

Scentsy

Sarah invited me to a Scentsy party. I had thought from the name this
was a perfume mob. Turned out they are a CANDLE mob.

After working at PartyLite for nearly two years I have enough candles
to last a life time.

There were about ten guests. There were two demonstrators, who said
they were the first agents in Gippsland for the company.

They played an introduction game to 'get us warmed up.'

We had to say what thing we have never done. For each time we said
something that someone else has done we received a 5 cent piece from
that person. The winner was the person who had the most coins at the
end of the game.

We each had two turns. On the first turn I said I have never driven
across the Nullabor plain, but it turns out only two other guests had
done that included the girl visiting from America.

On the second guess I said "I have never eaten Yoghurt." This was a
better statement as I received 9 coins.

As for the girl from America, I placed her age at about 35. She said
she was visiting her fiancé whom she met on the internet. Later on
she said she was 21. I did a double take and thought who was she
kidding! During the introductions she said she could remember hiding
under the front verandah when she was about three back in 1975. This
means her actual age is 41! She said her fiancé was 5 years older than
her when she claimed to be 21! meaning he was 26! I wondered how long
she was going to keep up the pretense as she would be bound to slip up
again!

Kath did not order anything. I only ordered two stuffed toys one for
Dyne and the other for Kirsten who wanted one for her Xmas present.
You put Scentsy block incense into them and they cover the bad smells
in the room. Especially good for Dyne who is still in nappies. Sort
of like a camphor block.

The only candles they have are ones to be burnt in an electric melt
warmer. I have enough of those as stated earlier.

A Big Night Out!

As usual we went to The Morwell club for the raffle on the last Friday
of the month (27th). But as it is Cliff's birthday on Oct 1st I had
invited all the family to come and celebrate with us.

Meg even went so far as to order a meal.

We were having a good night and even Kath's kids were not too bad.

We all bought tickets in the raffle and this time it was Kath's turn
to win, in fact she walked off with the second last prize of the
night the $500 gift card from Coles/myer Boy did that make her
night! The first thing she said she was going to do was go to
Coles and do a big supermarket shop because as usual Nathan left
her no money for food for the kids.

We Visit Kathleen

On Sunday after Kath's "turn", when Cliff finished at
the market, he dropped into my house and brought me
some flowers. He said that he had already gone to
Meg's but that no-one was home so he had left some
flowers for Kath on the front door step.

I rang Meg and she said that Mick and she were at
lunch at the pub. I asked if Kath was with them
and she said Kath had gone home that morning.

So I rang Kath and she said she was at home and it
was just her and Kirsten. I was going home with
Cliff and once more he surprised me by asking did
I want to go up and see Kath and I said that would
be lovely. He also suggested we get Kentucky for
her to save her cooking. So as we were passing Meg's
we picked up the flowers.

When we got to Yallourn Nth it was to find Nathan and
ALL the kids there. Not a good idea as she was told
to rest and take it easy and looking after 5 children
and having to cope with Nathan was not exactly taking
it easy!!!!

Luckily the chicken was enough for every one as Cliff
had got the larger size saying Kath could have the left
overs for tea to give her a break. THRER WERE NO LEFT
OVERS!!

We ate and then had a talk to the kids could not really
talk to Kath with Nathan there.

So after about an hour we left.

Kathleen's Little Break

I have never really understood Kathleen. Donald keeps his
own council and gets rid of his anger and frustration through
sport. Meg has always been able to talk about her problems
and any left over frustration is channeled into her netball.
But Kathleen is a closed book. She turns everything in upon
herself. She does not talk about her problems and has no
outlet for any anger of frustration.

So it was hardly surprising when Donald rang me on Friday
20th Sept. to say she was in hospital. Have still not been
able to piece together the whole story. It seems she went
to Cliff's shop and told him she need to "get away" to have
some piece and quiet as she was being driven "MAD."

Sometime after she got home and Nathan had dropped of the
kids, she started to play with the boys. She had bought
a number of cars and a helicopter from Cliff's shop and was
playing with these. Dayne did not want to play and she said
her father was coming to get her soon. She then messaged
Nathan something along the lines of daddy come and get me.
He thought it was Thalia and rang her. She said it was not
her but Mum and mum was acting strange. Nathan then came
up and didn't like the way Kath was acting so rang an
ambulance. He then rang Donald. Donald and Lisa went to
the hospital.

He rang me then hung up. I rang back and he said it was a
mistake. I talked to him about his grand final which was the
next day and he said it was at Traralgon so I said I would not
be driving over there.

About three minutes later Meg send a message to say ring Donald.
I rang her and said that I had just spoken to him. She was
cagey and said I needed to ring Donald again. So I did. It
turns out that both of them talked about the situation and Donald
thought I would go off half cocked! (does the boy not know me at
all!! I have ALWAYS been the calm one. I have had so much shit
happen in my life that nothing much fazes me anymore. Don't they
remember I was a psychiatric nurse at one stage in my life???

Anyhow, Donald said that after about half an hour of his and Lisa
arriving and talking to Kathleen she seemed to "snap' out of it.
So as he had to get up early the next day he and Lisa left about
midnight and then Meg who had gone out to dinner with Mick and
Lisa went back to the hospital and stayed to 3 a.m. when they let
Meg take her home to Meg's house where she stayed for 24 hours.

Just Had to Have a Giggle..

Received an email today saying I had over 20 followers of this blog. That
is rubbish. I have not had a comment in years! Even the one follower I
have does not make a comment. He reads it to help with his English.

After all it is not world shattering news. I don't give receipes, or write
about famous people and their lives. It is just about my every day life.
I leave out the really boring bits and give only the highlights.

Even they are boring in as much as they can happen to anyone!
