Sam Throws A Wobblie

After we had the party at the club for Meg's birthday she said
that we could come back to her place for birthday cake.

However I could not as that was also the day that Karen Richardson
buried her brother Henry.

She had asked if I would come and pick up Sam as the pub does not
like kids under 13 being there after 9 p.m.as they were having
the wake at the Royal Exchange.

So I said to Meg to save me apiece of cake, WHICH SHE DID NOT.

I dropped Cliff off at his house and went to the pub. As so as
Sam saw me he said he did not want to go. Chris tried to coax
him by giving him money for the football machine and although
he took the money HE STILL REFUSED TO GO.

We all went outside but he said that he wanted to stay. He was
really working himself up. Eventually Karen said that it did
not matter, she would go home with him instead if I would be kind
enough to drive them, but HE STILL REFUSED TO GO. At that stage
I would have given him a swift kick up the butt if he had of been
my child.

But no Chris and Karen explained to him about the time and hotel
policy and HE STILL REFUSED TO GO. Chris went to take his arm and
put him in the car and he ran off around the corner down the street
near the ANZ bank. Karen and Chris ran after him.

My New Doctor.

At first I thought it was great having a female doctor
but now I'm having doubts. Every time I mention some
thing that is bothering me, she doesn't do anything
about it at the time but makes another appointment
for me for a further two weeks away. So that I have
been going to see her every fortnight for nearly five
months. Which is the most I have seen a doctor in years.

Of course every time I go she gets more money from the
government but I hope that is not what she is doing.

I am just sick of going as I have to wait nearly an hour
every time and though I read or do crossword puzzles
it is still becoming annoying.

I can't see why she can't do it all in the one session!!!

Another Great Friday

Cliff is a mad Carlton supporter. Thus I have spent the last two
Fridays forced to watch the team play, first Essendon and then
Hawthorn.

I must admit I know very little about the aerial ping pong as my
dad called it, but even I saw the things that Cliff was SCREAMING
about. Players that were tackled unfairly and yet the ball was given
to the other team. Goals that were kicked and not given. His players
punched and the other team getting a free kick for it. Perhaps he is
not so crazy after all, as I thought it really does look as if the
umpires are favouring the other teams when Carlton play.

Both times his team lost by a few points and I believe that they
should be given both matches due to the unfair umpiring.

Meg's Birthday 2013

Much to Meg's annoyance it was the last Friday of the month.
This means that Cliff, Kathy, John, Lena and myself go to the
club for the raffle.

We did not want to give up going so I said we could all have
tea there for her birthday. She reckons that the food is crap.
Which is strange as everyone else that goes, including Donald
think the food is quite good and at a reasonable price.

Well Mick bought $10 worth of tickets and lo and behold won a
$40 deli voucher. Turns out that that shop also sell the
beans Meg uses in her coffee machine and was having a special
that week, two packets for the price of one, $29.95 so she
still had $10 over for cold meats! and enough coffee for nearly
3 months! So she was really pleased.

Donald gave her $50 as did I and Kath gave her $30 so she ended
up with $130 and there was a pair of shoes she said she saw in
Viva for $150, so now she only has to pay $20 for them. I don't
know what Mick got her, will have to ask. Also I don't know if
his family bought her anything either now that they are married
it is different and I would expect that they have got her something
will ask next time I see her.

She did say that uncle Bill DID NOT send a birthday card even though
I have given him the birthday book last time he was down here.
(For her wedding in March.)
